Present and prospect of pulse diagnostic apparatus

Abstract

|
|
Application of apparatus in Oriental medicine has an important significance in ensuring the objectivity of clinical information and in promoting the reproducibility, stability and specific through qualification and quantification. Among these, the quantification of pulse diagnosis is an important subject utilizing not only as an objective index of pulse diagnosis research but as a modernization of Oriental medical diagnosis and as a basic data for collaborative access between East and West Medicine.
However, there are some controversy about the utilization of apparatus in Oriental medicine. One side has a positive opinion in that the utilization of apparatus is necessary to modernize the Oriental medicine and to quantify the various theories and clinical informations. but the other has a negative one in that it is impossible to quantify them for the Oriental medicine due to the different theory system from basic theory in the oriental learning compared to Western medicine.
According to these, the present clinical field of the Oriental Medicine in this paper was surveyed, especially centering around the pulse diagnostic apparatus that is utilizing a lot in the diagnosis field, and the problems and the prospect for the utilization of the apparatus were studied.
